Gerupuk bay rhythm
Most peaks are reached by boat — one crew per channel is the norm. Wait for your boat captain’s call, do not paddle across another group’s inside position, and tip fairly for long waits. The bay feels relaxed until a set stacks up — then priority rules apply like any reef.

Desert Point discipline
When the point is on, the lineup compresses. Locals and long-term visitors know the takeoff stone cold — watch before you go. Do not paddle around the shoulder into set waves. If you miss a wave, let the next surfer go without snaking back to the peak.

Kuta Lombok beaches
Beach breaks here are more forgiving but still have regulars. Share peaks, call your direction, and give learners space on small days. Respect fishing nets and village access paths — the beach is working coastline, not only a surf zone.
